Withers & Ravenel teamed with The Crown Companies to design this 15-acre mixed-use project located on a long, narrow site that presented design challenges. With tenants including Kroger, Deluca’s, Blockbuster, Discount Tire and Dunkin Donuts involving 89,000 SF of retail, the project abuts a residential community. The project was completed with favorable reviews resulting from positive communications with the neighborhood. Our design allows neighbors to walk to West Park Place using a greenway that also connects to the Town of Cary greenway system.

Located in the Cape Fear basin, the project was subject to stormwater quality regulations. Our staff designed seven bioretention areas (also known as rain gardens) for the site, and the planting of trees and shrubs to maximize the reduction of nitrogen in stormwater runoff.
